In this Final Four matchup, NC State is hoping to become the first double-digit seed to ever make the Championship Game. Purdue is aiming to avoid being eliminated by a double-digit seed once again.
Before Betting on NC State vs Purdue
NC State had essentially no chance of making the NCAA Tournament as the regular season came to a close. However, they went on a run in the ACC Tournament and claimed an automatic bid. Now, they’re in the Final Four, and have become a key example of the reason for further tournament expansion.
The Wolfpack are led by big man DJ Burns Jr, who was truly sensational against Duke, finishing with 29 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 blocks. Burns will have a brutal matchup with Zach Edey down low in this one, getting a chance to further prove his ability. His footwork is good enough to test Edey defensively.
Purdue had their toughest test of the tournament so far against Tennessee, but managed to survive and advance. Zach Edey was dominant once again, racking up 40 points and 16 rebounds in the win. He has been an absolute force this year, exerting his size and experience on the competition.
Purdue and Edey are finally getting a chance to prove themselves in the tournament after losing in the first round in the last three seasons. The Boilermakers likely have a title game matchup against UConn on their minds, but they need to first avoid overlooking a dangerous double-digit seed in NC State.
NC State vs Purdue Offshore Odds
This is a sensational Final Four matchup featuring two incredible big men. If either Edey or Burns winds up in early foul trouble, their team could be taken out of the game. That being said, if they both stay on the court, it should be a well-contested matchup. I see the Boilermakers winning a very close one.
