Teams are beating the snot out of each other in the highly competitive Big 12, a trend that continues on Monday night when #2 Kansas (16-3) visits #21 Baylor (14-5). These are two teams headed in the opposite direction, with the Jayhawks having dropped two straight while BU has rattled off four straight victories.

Kansas will take a dip in the rankings when the Top 25 is released on Monday as they come into this game licking some wounds after two straight losses. The 83-82 loss at Kansas State is understandable as the Wildcats are atop the Big 12, but to then lose 83-60 at home against TCU over the weekend is kind of unfathomable for the defending National Champions.
The Jayhawks have some obvious defensive concerns after allowing 83 points in consecutive games, and they’ve dropped to third worst in the Big 12 in points allowed. That’s not a great trend heading into a road game with Baylor, the #2 scoring team in the conference behind Kansas.
Baylor has won four in a row, three of those on the road at West Virginia (83-78), Texas Tech (81-74), and most recently Oklahoma (62-60) on Saturday. The Bears have dropped two conference games at home this season, but they were both very close falling 88-87 to TCU and 97-95 in OT against Kansas State.
