Before Betting on the 2023 NFL Comeback Player of the Year

The award was established back in 1963, with Jim Martin being the first winner. It was canceled in 1966 but reestablished in 1998.

Geno Smith is the last winner and earned the prize for leading the Seattle Seahawks to the playoffs. Chad Pennington is the only player to win this award twice, once as the Jets’ QB, and the second time while playing with the Miami Dolphins.

2023 NFL Comeback Player of the Year Offshore Betting Odds

This year’s competition looks like a one-way street, with Damar Hamlin being the absolute favorite. The Buffalo Bills’ safety had a cardiac arrest during the game against the Cincinnati Bengals and is expected to return to the field this year. Hamil went through all the medical procedures to validate his health, getting a green light.

That’s why the bookies see him as the absolute favorite for winning the award.

Russell Wilson, John Metchie, and Sam Darnold are behind Hamlin. The Broncos’ QB and the former MVP had a terrible year, and everyone expects to see him bouncing back. Metchie had to battle leukemia last season, while Sam Darnold transferred to the 49ers, where he’ll try to revive his career, which has been nothing but a disappointment so far.
