Before Betting on Los Angeles FC vs. San Jose Earthquakes
Both teams made it to the knockouts after finishing second in their group. LAFC had one win (3:0 over Club Tijuana) and one loss on penalties (to Vancouver Whitecaps after 2:2 in regulation). The San Jose Earthquakes were less impressive, with one win on penalties (against Guadalajara Chivas after 1:1 in regulation) and one loss (2:1 to Los Angeles Galaxy).
However, the Quakes did great in the first round of the knockout phase. We saw them demolish Nexaca 5:0 in a game in which the Mexican team was the betting favorite. Nexaca did play with 10 men on the field for most of the game, but when their player got sent off, it was already 4:0 for San Jose on the scoreboard.
In their first game of the knockout stage, Los Angeles FC beat Austin FC 2:0. It could’ve been different had the Texans made their chances count. Austin’s players were the ones to control the game for most of the time, creating almost twice as many goal chances as Los Angeles FC.
However, none of those went in, with LAFC’s goalkeeper Hugo Lloris saving most of them and earning himself the man of the match accolade.

Our prediction is that LAFC vs. San Jose is going to be packed with excitement, probably with plenty of goals on both ends. But which team will score more? We think it’s going to be Los Angeles.
