Turns out, Inter Miami can’t do much without Lionel Messi. Sure, they did win three games while he’s away with Argentina at Copa America, but in their most recent MLS game, the Herons got obliterated by FC Cincinnati 6:1. Will they be able to bounce back straight away with a win over out-of-form Toronto FC?

Before Betting on Inter Miami vs. Toronto FC 2024 MLS Game

Inter Miami’s boss Gerardo Martino couldn’t count on Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, and a few other regulars in the game with FC Cincinnati. That’s why it’s no surprise that Cincy thrashed them.

Sure, 6:1 sounds too horrible a defeat, but there’s an explanation – Inter Miami played for roughly 30 minutes with 10 men on the field after Sergio Busquets got a red card.

Not only did he cause problems for his teammates in that game, but because of the red card, he will have to miss the Inter Miami vs. Toronto FC game on July 17.

Is this something that the Canadians can take advantage of? They will certainly try. Toronto FC are desperate to put an end to their losing streak that saw them lose six MLS games in a row.

Nobody seems to know what’s wrong with Toronto FC. This team has some decent players on the roster, which is why it’s really strange that they’re without a single win in the 2024 MLS in two and a half months.

They need to pull themselves together ASAP if they want to stay in play for a spot in the postseason. This is why we expect to see them go all-in on July 17. Will it work? We think it might, given that Inter Miami’s roster is pretty much decimated.
