The 2023 NFL Draft is behind us, and the speculations about the next one have already started. Who will be the No.1 pick in the next year’s selection? Check this article and see for yourself.

Before Betting on the 2024 NFL Draft 1st Pick

The NFL draft is one of the most spectacular sports events in the world. The hype here is a bit different from other sports events and drafts, because it lasts three days.

Jay Berwanger was the top pick in the first even NFL Draft, which took place back in 1936. He was selected by the Philadelphia Eagles, coming out from the University of Chicago and their Maroons team.

Throughout the years, we have seen some fantastic players going first, but also plenty of busts as well. On one side, we have Terry Bradshaw, John Elway, and Peyton Manning, while on the other, guys like Tim Couch, Courtney Brown, or JaMarcus Russell.

The USC Trojans quarterback, Caleb Williams, is the absolute favorite for going first in the draft. NFL is in need of reliable quarterbacks, and the 21-year-old looks like a good prospect. He won the 2022 Heisman Trophy and various other awards, cementing his status as the top talent of this generation.

Another QB is behind Williams, and that’s North Carolina’s Drake Maye. The 2022 ACC Player of the Year set a new school record for single-season passing yards. Versatile and strong, Maye could be an immediate contributor among the pros.

Marvin Harrison Jr. followed the steps of his father, playing in the same position and being recognized as one of the biggest prospects of his generation. Even though wide receivers don’t go first often, the Ohio State Buckeyes’ star might break that unwritten rule.

Notre Dame’s offensive tackle Joe Alt is also in the mix, the same as Alabama’s Kool-Aid McKinstry and Olu Fashanu from Penn State.
