Kylian Mbappe’s arrival was massive, and it shook Europe, let alone Spain. He immediately delivered on his debut in the UEFA Super Cup against Atalanta, so it’s pretty reasonable to see him as the absolute favorite for winning the Pichichi.

Right behind him is the former European Golden Boot winner and Barcelona’s leading striker, Robert Lewandowski. He will receive plenty of useful passes from his young and talented teammates, plus Dani Olmo, who landed at Camp Nou.

The reason why many think that Lewa might win the top goalscorer award is the fact that Real has both Mbappe and Vinicius Jr. and that they might inhibit one another. Right now, Vini also has a solid chance of winning the award and is the third contender on the list. And indeed, this hypothesis about these two superstars slowing one another sounds reasonable, because we all know they are pretty egoistic.

Alexander Sorloth, last year’s runner-up in the top goalscorer race, is also on the list. He moved from Villarreal to Atletico, and he will have a nice opportunity to become a darkhorse who surprises everyone. His teammate Julian Alvarez is also on the list, and in between Atletico’s duo is the fantastic Jude Bellingham, who dominated La Liga the previous year.

Real’s attack looks incredible, but in this case, we are going with Lewandowski. Why? He is the sole dominant striker in Barcelona and a classic target man in the box; plus, Hansi Flick knows him from Bayern once he maximized his usage and productivity. The Pole is a veteran, but the odds are just so tempting for us to miss on them.
