The most intriguing game on the week 11 night slate in college football is #4 TCU over a TD underdog at #18 Texas. The Horned Frogs are 9-0 on the season, pulling through week in and week out when everybody is expecting them to trip up. The Longhorns can beat anybody on any given week, but they’ve also melted in the spotlight at times this season. TCU vs Texas should be a good one.
Before Betting on TCU vs Texas
It’s Sonny Dykes’ first season in Ft. Worth, but he inherits a TCU program that at the very least has been very solid against Texas winning 7 of 10 meetings including 4 of 5 in Austin. The Longhorns will give up some yardage in the passing game (350.3 ypg the last three) so it would be huge if TCU can get their top receiver Quentin Johnston back after he sat out last week with an ankle injury.
TCU QB Max Duggan was just 12/23 last week without Johnston, but still helped rally the team to 21 fourth quarter points for a 34-24 win over Texas Tech. The Red Raiders aren’t in the top 25, but TCU has still beaten four ranked teams this season which is second behind only Tennessee.
While Texas may struggle to stop the TCU passing game on Saturday, the Horned Frogs have a tough test on their hands as well vs. the Longhorns rushing offense. Many people are calling Texas RB Bijan Robinson the best player in the nation, and he’s backing up that hype with 209 yards last week in the win over Kansas State – his 7th straight game rushing for over 100 yards. TCU is giving up 167.3 ypg on the ground their last three.

TCU vs Texas Prediction & Pick
There’s going to be plenty of public pull on TCU here and why not, the #4 team in the nation is getting over a TD at some books. It’s going to be a rowdy environment in Austin though – a night game, an in-state rivalry matchup, a chance to knock off a top 4 team, and not to mention just the second home game for the Longhorns since October 1st.
Pick: Texas -7
