San Francisco had a frustrating performance on offense against the Vikings. The lack of star RB Christian McCaffrey, who was recently placed on IR, was noticeable. While Jordan Mason (20 carries, 100 yards, 1 TD) was effective on the ground, the 49ers were missing the presence of McCaffrey in the passing game. With Mason only getting one target through the air, it will be up to WR Deebo Samuel to help fill McCaffrey’s shoes.

Los Angeles saw bad turn into worse on Sunday. Already down WR Puka Nacua, the Rams lost their other star WR Cooper Kupp to an ankle injury in the loss. With their two biggest offensive weapons out for the next several weeks, the Rams will need someone else to step up to avoid a disastrous start. The defense also needs to bounce back after allowing the Cardinals to score 41 points. They face an uphill battle against the 49ers.

They’ll need to be more efficient in the red zone on offense to avoid another disappointing loss. The Rams should bounce back defensively and make this a more competitive game than last week, but their offense may be in trouble. Look for them to lean on RB Kyren Williams, before ultimately losing a close, low-scoring game.
