James Harden is the leader when things get tough for the Sixers, not the NBA MVP Joel Embiid, who is heavily underachieving and not helping his team at all. Game 4 saw Philly winning at home following the overtime, 116-115, after another three-pointer made by Harden.
The Beard scored 42 points, making six of his nine attempts from downtown and adding nine assists with eight rebounds. Embiid was good with 34 buckets but 11-for-26 from the field, and if it weren’t for his free throws, 12-for-15, this would have been a problematic night for him.
On the other side, the Celtics had three players with 20 or more points and one near that limit, Malcolm Brogdon, who had 19 buckets off the bench. Jayson Tatum scored 24, adding 18 boards, Jaylen Brown 23, while Marcus Smart delivered 21.
The Cs couldn’t get things going on the defensive end, and they once again allowed more than 110 points which led to a defeat. The team from Massachusetts held the rivals to 102 and 87 buckets, respectively, in the contests they won, and they have to repeat a similar performance to triumph.
