Two NBA MVP favorites, Nikola Jokic and Joel Embiid, clash tonight as Denver Nuggets host the Philadelphia 76ers.
Before Betting on the 76ers vs. Nuggets
The 76ers have problems with Harden’s and Embiid’s injuries. Though, Beard’s chances of missing this one are greater than Embiid’s. Also, many would interpret Embiid’s absence from this one as a runaway from a battle against Jokic which would hurt his MVP prospects.
Philly played three games in a row away from home, winning one and losing two. At first, they were better than the Bulls in Chicago, 116-91, before losing back-to-back events against top teams in the West, the Warriors, 120-112, and the Suns, 125-105. Embiid was excellent in both, pouring 46 points on Golden State and 28 on Phoenix.
Jokic and the boys recovered following a terrible period they experienced a couple of weeks ago. The Nuggets are back home following an exhausting tour throughout the East, and they immediately showed improvement.
Milwaukee was their first victim at the Mile High, with them trashing the league’s top team 129-106, dominating in all aspects of play. Jokic didn’t have a triple-double, 31 points, 11 assists and six boards, but Jamal Murray finally played a good game, dropping 26 points and adding nine assists with six boards.
