The fourth matchday of the Champions League takes place this week. One of the standout fixtures on Tuesday evening will see Chelsea travel to the San Siro to take on AC Milan. The two sides only met in London last week, with the Blues running out 3-0 winners.

Before Betting On AC Milan vs Chelsea

This is a big game in the Champions League for both Chelsea and AC Milan. The Blues moved up to second in the Group E standings following their victory at Stamford Bridge last week, while Milan dropped to third. The Italian giants and Chelsea are both locked on four points, with RB Salzburg currently leading the standings with five points overall.

Milan has a poor record in this fixture, as they are winless in five previous meetings against Chelsea in European competition. Their only win in six came back in 1966, but they have never lost back-to-back games against the Blues. Meanwhile, Chelsea allowed just four shots against Milan last week. They have only allowed fewer shots in two previous fixtures in the Champions League.

Milan also has a poor record when hosting an English team in the Champions League, as they have lost four of the previous five matches against Premier League sides at the San Siro. Their only home win against an English side came against Arsenal in 2012.

Chelsea’s away record in Italy is also pretty poor, as they are winless on their previous seven trips to Italy in the Champions League. They have lost six times during that run since victory against Lazio in November 2003.
