Before Betting on Adam Vigil vs. Ty Gwerder Fury FC 94 Fight

After fighting for a decade in various MMA promotions, both professionally and as an amateur, Adam Vigil inked a deal with Fury FC last year.

He made his promotional debut last summer, beating his opponent by decision. Just two months later, he stepped into the cage once again. This time, he won by KO. In the only fight he fought in 2024, Vigil won by another decision.

The Colorado native is 9-1 overall in MMA with five wins by KO/TKO and 4 by decision. He’s also competed in boxing professionally, although he wasn’t as successful.

At the age of 35, he’s got a chance to become the Fury FC Middleweight champion. The only man standing in his way is Ty Gwerder.

The 29-year-old Hawaii native is 7-4, but it’s because he’s fought against much tougher opponents than Vigil. In fact, three of his four losses happened in Bellator MMA.

When it comes to his wins, he’s got six KO/TKO wins in his portfolio, three of which happened while he was fighting under the banner of LFA.

Coached by Eric Nicksick from Xtreme Couture – the guy who’s coached Francis Ngannou and Sean Strickland among others – Gwerder is an aggressive brawler who lands a lot of powerful strikes in every fight.

In the past, he was kind of reckless in the cage, but based on what we’ve seen from his two fights last year (both of which he won, by the way), he’s evolved.
