Our Alex Pereira vs. Jamahal Hill prediction is that this fight will prove that Dana White & Co. made the right choice for making it the UFC 300 main event.
The main reason why we expect to see a real battle in the Octagon is that this is the UFC Light Heavyweight fight between the two arguably best strikers in the division. But which of these hard-hitting legends will get his hand raised triumphantly in the air? Let’s find out!
Before Betting on Alex Pereira vs. Jamahal Hill UFC 300 Fight
Alex Pereira (9-2) is the defending UFC Light Heavyweight champion who won the title by beating Jiri Prochazka last November by TKO. It was only his second fight in the 205-pound division. On his divisional debut, he beat Jan Blachowicz by a split decision.
Before that, Poatan fought in the middleweight division, where he was the UFC champion at one point. He became the champ by beating Israel Adesanya by TKO, but his reign didn’t last long as The Style bender got his revenge in the rematch.
When it comes to Jamahal Hill, he’s a former UFC Light Heavyweight champ who had to vacate the championship belt after suffering an injury. In fact, the UFC 300 headliner is going to be his first fight since the title bout with Glover Teixeira in January 2023. Hill is 12-1-1 overall, with his only loss happening to Paul Craig (TKO) in 2021.
Same as Pereira, Hill is famous for his powerful punches and kicks. However, he’s not as fast and agile as Poatan, who’s widely considered to be the best kickboxer in the UFC.

Not only do we think Alex Pereira is a much better fighter than Jamahal Hill, but we also think this is a great matchup for him. Hill is a striker, same as him, but Pereira is much quicker. Plus, this is going to be Hill’s first fight after an injury that kept him away from the gym for several months.
