Before Betting on Angels vs Dodgers June 15
The Los Angeles Angels felt a bit of reprieve, snapping their 14-game losing streak with an 11-6 win over the Mets on Saturday. Since then it’s been the same old situation, as they lost the series finale 4-1 to New York and then fell 2-0 on Tuesday to the Los Angeles Dodgers.
LAD took the opener of this quick two game set which they needed to wash the bad taste out from getting swept over three games in San Francisco over the weekend. The Padres have now snuck up and tied the NL West, while the Angels continue their freefall now dropping 9.5 games out of the 1st place spot they held for a good portion of the season.
The Angels have gotten good pitching the last two games, but just a single run to go with it. Reid Detmers (2-2, 3.83 ERA) will hope for a bit more run support as he has held both the Yankees and the Red Sox scoreless in his last two starts only for LAA to lose 2-1 and 1-0.
Tyler Anderson (7-0, 3.07 ERA) is on the bump for the Dodgers trying to stay perfect on the season. He had a streak of three straight scoreless starts broken last time out when he gave up 4.0 ER over 3.0 IP to the White Sox, but that was not a pitcher-friendly day as LAD still ended up getting the 11-9 win.

The Angels offense has been anemic the last two games managing just 9 total hits. When you throw in Anderson quietly having a very good year for the Dodgers this one looks like it will go LAD’s way, possibly by a lot.
