Our Anthony Smith vs. Carlos Ulberg prediction is that this is going to be one of the most interesting fights of UFC 303. In fact, we wouldn’t be surprised if it won the Fight of the Night accolade or if either Smith or Ulberg won the Performance of the Night bonus on June 29.

Before Betting on Anthony Smith vs. Carlos Ulberg UFC 303 Fight

Unsurprisingly, the UFC 303 main event is getting the most attention. We’ve already explained why that is the case in our Alex Pereira vs. Jiri Prochazka 2 prediction. However, we also think that there are a couple of other bouts on the card that mustn’t be missed. One of those is the Smith vs. Ulberg fight.

The reason we think that is that both fighters are famously great finishers. Thirty-five of Anthony Smith’s 38 wins happened before the final bell. When it comes to his losses, 14 of his 19 defeats happened inside the distance.

Carlos Ulberg is 10-1 overall, with 7 wins by KO/TKO, one by submission and two by decision. The only loss he suffered so far was a KO loss to Kennedy Nzechukwu in his promotional debut.

Since then, however, Ulberg is 6-0 with five wins by a finish. This includes his win over Alonzo Menifield in May, which took Ulberg only 12 seconds.

It’s clear that Smith vs. Ulberg is going to be a hell of a fight, but who’s going to win? The UFC 303 odds favor Ulberg and this time, we completely agree.

He’s a -500 favorite for several reasons, the big one being that he’s had a full camp preparing for the June 29 event. Sure, he was supposed to fight Jamahal Hill, but Smith isn’t too different a fighter.
