Confidence will be high within the Bournemouth camp ahead of their trip to Villa Park on Saturday following an excellent home win over Arsenal last Saturday.

Andoni Iraola’s side have been progressing quietly under the radar this term, and could be a decent chance to finish in the top half of the standings.

However, they face a difficult challenge this weekend against an Aston Villa side that moved to the top of the Champions League standings in the midweek with a win over Bologna.

But, could the Cherries upset the odds for the second straight weekend in the Premier League?

Odds

Villa will be an odds-on chance this weekend to record a third straight win across all competitions. However, the Cherries could be an interesting angle at +283.

Both sides have picked up two wins apiece across the last four meetings between the teams at Villa Park. The hosts have won each of the last two, accumulating an aggregate scoreline of 6-1.

However, the Cherries have a 50% record in matches against Villa across their eight fixtures. That is the highest win rate of any team against the Villains that have played at least eight matches.

Aston Villa vs. Bournemouth Prediction

Villa have been fortunate to pick up four points from their EPL matches following Champions League exploits after edging back from a deficit to beat Wolves and playing out a dull 0-0 draw against Man United.

They may not get as fortunate against an in-form Cherries this weekend. Based on the odds available, the narrow preference is for the visitors.
