Atalanta will host Roma in the battle for Champions League place next season. Both teams had Europa League games this week, with the hosts having more success. While they progressed to the finals, Roma suffered a late shock in Leverkusen, staying without the title battle.

Before Betting on Atalanta vs. Roma

La Dea posted a routine win over Marseille, 3-0. Many say they haven’t expected to see something like this at Gewiss stadium, anticipating a much tougher battle. However, Atalanta played one of its best games this year, executing everything needed in order to triumph.

This was their sixth win in a row without a loss, and during this stretch, we saw them winning on five occasions, each time with two or more goals scored. Also, five of those meetings saw 2 or 3 goals, which is a moderate efficiency. When looking at the past three events at Gewiss, Atalanta has three wins with a 9-1 goal difference.

Roma’s form dropped in the worst possible moment. They haven’t got a win in the previous four contests, recording three ties and one loss. Two of those ties were in Serie A, and if one of them ended in their favor, Il Lupi would be in a much better position regarding their Champions League chase.

Thursday’s draw in Leverkusen was heartbreaking. Roma had everything in its hands up until the end, but they allowed two quick goals and got eliminated from the UEFA Europa League. It’s not the first time we’ve seen their defense fall apart quickly, and overall, the back line has been the most problematic part of the unit. So it’s nothing strange to see Roma conceding in seven straight matches.

Both teams have solid offensive potential, while the respective defenses aren’t that tough. That’s why we picked both teams to score as the best solution in this case. The odds are quite acceptable, and so is the risk.
