Novak Extending His Legacy
So far, Djokovic played in eight finals here, and won all of them. If there is a person who loves appearing at the Rod Laver Arena, that would be the Serbian fella. The weather, the conditions, surface, he pretty much loves anything that has a connection with the Australian Open.
We need to say that his performances during this campaign haven’t been confident as before, and that he lost at least a set in each match up until the semis once he routinely defeated Aslan Karatsev, 3-0. However, his path towards the title clash was not favorable at all.
You all know that this edition of AO has the fastest surface in the last couple of years, and Djokovic faced players with ferrocious serve in each event, Tiafoe, Fritz, Raonic, and Alexander Zverev. So it is no wonder why he dropped a set here and there.
