The inaugural UFL season is rapidly approaching the playoffs! Only two regular season weeks remain. Following Week 8, all four playoff spots have been locked up. This game features a matchup between the playoff-bound St. Louis Battlehawks (6-2) and the eliminated Arlington Renegades (1-7). St. Louis will aim to build momentum while Arlington attempts to find positives to build on next season.

Before Betting on Battlehawks vs Renegades

The Battlehawks bounced back in Week 8, defeating the Defenders 26-21. The win helped St. Louis clinch one of the UFL’s four playoff spots. They remain neck-and-neck with the Brahmas, who hold the same 6-2 record. Home field advantage in the semifinal round of the playoffs is on the line depending on which team finishes with a better record. That raises the stakes in this game for the Battlehawks. QB Manny Wilkins will be aiming to build on a mediocre game in which he completed 9 of 18 passes for 126 yards.

Arlington came up shot on the road against the Brahmas on Sunday, but played a competitive game. The Renegades have played much better football over the past few weeks after starting the season 0-6. Unfortunately, it’s too little too late for Arlington, having already been eliminated from playoff contention. With little to play for but pride, the Renegades will use these last two weeks to give different players a chance to start and look for positives to build on next year.

The Battlehawks are favored by a large margin in this game. They’ve handled business against the UFL’s bottom half of teams all season long, and are likely to win this one as well. That being said, the Renegades have been playing better football lately, and could keep this game closer than expected in their home stadium. I could St. Louis winning this game by as few as 3 points or as many as 30.
