The top two in Group A of the Champions League will lock horns on Wednesday. Bayern Munich have been dominant at this stage of the competition, and they will be chasing a fifth straight success this week. Copenhagen could upset the odds, as they currently sit second in the standings above Galatasaray and Man United.

Before Betting On Bayern Munich vs Copenhagen

It has been a straightforward Champions League campaign to this point for Bayern Munich, as they have already assured their passage through to the next round of the competition. The German giants sit top of the Group A standings after picking up four straight wins. That excellent record sees them boast an eight-point advantage over the two sides directly below them.

Copenhagen have been the huge surprise package in the group to this point, as the Danish side currently sits second in the standings after winning once in their opening three matches. They caused a massive shock in the previous round of matches, as they scored a stunning home win against Man United to leave the Red Devils on the brink of elimination.

Bayern Munich will come up against a Danish side for the first time at home since beating Brondby in November 1998. In fact, they have only clashed with Copenhagen on one previous occasion, as they landed a 2-1 success against their Danish rivals on matchday two in the Champions League.

Copenhagen have struggled in away matches against German opposition, as they haven’t landed a victory in 13 previous attempts. Over that period, they have suffered nine defeats. Bayern’s home record offers little hope for the visitors this weekend, as the Bavarian giants have lost just once in their previous 21 matches at the Allianz Arena.
