Was was going to be a matchup of QBs from the 2021 draft in Justin Fields vs Zach Wilson now looks like Trevor Siemian matching up against Mike White. Fields is considered a ‘longshot’ to play because of a shoulder injury while Wilson was benched due to his performance in last week’s 10-3 loss to the Patriots. New York is still nearly a TD favorite in this Bears vs Jets matchup.

Chicago’s offense will look a lot different without Fields, whose ability to run the ball has helped Chicago lead the league with 197.9 ypg on the ground. Fields has ran for at least 85 yards in each of the last three games including 178 vs the Dolphins and 147 against Detroit – but that being said the Bears have still lost four in a row.
Siemian showed a decent command in the offense in the preseason, and he does have 29 starts in his 6-year NFL career. The Jets have a top 10 defense through, allowing only 310.5 ypg total and a mere 18.6 ppg. That’s a big reason this total is just 38.5.
Wilson was 5-2 as a starter this season so the benching of the former #2 pick comes as somewhat of a surprise, The Jets rank just 28th in the NFL in total yards though (311.8) so really New York was winning games in spite of Wilson instead of because of him. White played four games last season, but finished with 5TD passes to 8 INTs. It’s still a good opportunity for him though as the Bears have allowed 31+ points in three of their last four.
