The final Grade One on the card at Belmont at the Big A this Saturday will come in the form of the Belmont Oaks. This race will be contested over 1 1/16 miles, with winning connections winning a share of the $500,000 purse.

Before Betting On Belmont Oaks

One of the most interesting races at Belmont at the Big A this weekend comes in the form of the Belmont Oaks, which is due off at 4:42 PM ET. This race for fillies aged three will see a distance of 1 1/16 miles covered, with a purse of $500,000 up for grabs.

This race has been staged since 1979 when it was previously known as the Rare Perfume Stakes. The Grade One offers extra incentive to connections, as the winner will secure their berth in the Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Turf. Aspen Grove was a European winner of the race last year, and a number of fascinating contenders have made the journey this weekend.

Cinderella’s Dream represents the Charlie Appleby yard, and positives would have been taken from her performance in the G1 1,000 Guineas when finishing seventh of 16. She was hugely impressive during her stint in the Middle East after winning two from two at Meydan at the start of 2024.

She Feels Pretty could be the best of the home side’s chances for trainer Cherie DeVaux. The three-year-old was third in the Juvenile Fillies Turf last season, and returned to action in very impressive fashion when landing the Hilltop Stakes in late May.

Another chance could be taken on Secret Satire this weekend. Frankie Dettori will take the ride on the European raider, but found things far too testing at Epsom last month when tenth in the Oaks. However, she was very impressive when scoring in the G3 Musidora Stakes at York earlier in the season.
