Cooper Rush Era for Now in Big D

Both Dallas and Cincinnati have QB issues heading into the Bengals Cowboys week 2 matchup. Cincinnati’s seem more fixable though, as Joe Burrow had 5 turnovers last week (4 INT, 1 fumble) and the Bengals were still a blocked extra point at the end of regulation away from picking up a week one win over the Steelers (23-20 L in OT).

Dallas on the other hand has to survive without Dak Prescott for the next few weeks after he suffered a thumb injury in the 19-3 loss to Tampa Bay in week one. The Cowboys offense wasn’t that sharp even with Prescott in the lineup, as he finished 14/29 for 134 yards with an interception.

Dallas seems content in going with Cooper Rush at QB in Prescott’s absence, and he was 7/13 last week for 64 yards. This is Rush’s fifth year in Dallas and he ended up going 30-47 for 422 yards with 3 TDs and 1 INT last season, appearing in five games with one start.

While Dallas is at an obvious loss without Prescott, Cincinnati is no sure thing as a TD favorite on the road this Sunday. Burrow not only gave up 5 turnovers last week, he was also sacked 7 times and Dallas can create a pass rush.

Bengals Cowboys Week 2 Prediction

The Bengals almost squeaked out a win in week one even though they’d probably admit it was one of their worst games in recent memory. That being said, until they find a way to protect Burrow you can’t lay 7 points on the road. The ‘under’ is the way to go in this one.
