However, the internet was sent into meltdown during Super Bowl weekend earlier this year after Beyonce teased that she was set to release new music. She quickly released her first ‘country’ album, which was a massive hit among her fans, while many fans of the genre weren’t as impressed.
However, rumors have always been teased that a follow-up single from ‘Telephone’ has always been in the works, with the final message in the song teasing that there could be a sequel. Fans were quick to allude to the fact that the clues are there that the sequel could be on its way soon, with Beyonce’s ‘Texas Hold’em’ video showing a number of the same images that were found in the ‘Telephone’ video.
Many fans even speculated that Gaga may have even been in the country video, as images didn’t show the person sitting next to Queen B in the car that she was driving. However, plans could have been put on the backburner throughout last year as Gaga would have been filming for the upcoming release of the Joker sequel.
But, a Telephone sequel would be a monster hit across the world, as the original release was a monster success among the mainstream fans. The song was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals, and also picked up accolades at the BMI Awards. But, it’s unlikely that we will see the sequel of Telephone being released in 2024.
