While Bianca Andreescu vs Elena Rybakina may be taking place on court 12 at Wimbledon on day four, there is little doubt that it is one of the most competitive matches to take place at Wimbledon today. Andreescu previously won the U.S. Open, while Rybakina comes into the match as the 17th seed at this year’s Wimbledon.

Before Betting On Wimbledon Bianca Andreescu vs Elena Rybakina

Bianca Andreescu will be looking to maintain the excellent form that she has shown on the grass so far this year. The Canadian has already reached a career-best second round at the Grand Slam this year. Previously, she had been knocked out in the first round on two occasions, including last year where she was defeated by Alize Cornet.

She looked extremely solid on the grass in the first round, as she easily beat Emina Bektas in straight sets. The Canadian won 6-1, 6-3, and won a very respectable 91% of the points on her first serve. She had ten opportunities to break, and took five of those. However, this is a slightly different proposition against a seeded opponent.

Elena Rybakina will come into this second round match in good confidence, as the 23-year-old saw off Coco Vandeweghe in the opening round. However, it could be argued that the American’s talents on her preferred grass surface are fading, but still, a straight sets win was a commanding performance.

She won 7-6, 7-5. Rybakina showed excellent nerve in that game, as she broke the American on the only opportunity that she had. However, Vandewegne did have opportunities, but failed to break the Kazakhstani on all nine opportunities.

This could be a bit of a thriller at Wimbledon on day four, as it looks extremely hard to separate the two players. Therefore, we could see it going the distance. However, the slight preference is for Andreescu to reach the third round. We like her chances to win 2-1 in sets at +333 with MyBookie.
