The Buffalo Bills (7-2) travel to Indianapolis to play the 4-5 Colts. First-place Buffalo needs this win as it approaches the hardest part of its schedule with Kansas City on deck. Our Bills vs Colts prediction is for favored Buffalo to cover the 4-point spread and for the teams to score more than 47 points.

Head-to-head, Buffalo leads Indianapolis with a record of 38-33-1.

Streaking Bills Cannot Look Past Colts

After winning their first three games, Buffalo lost two straight to Baltimore and Houston. Since then, they won four consecutive games to raise their record to 7-2.

They are in first place in the AFC East and have a four-game lead over the Jets.

Riding a high-powered and diverse offense, the Bills are led by quarterback Josh Allen. Allen has a 105.8 passer rating and has thrown for 17 touchdowns with only two interceptions. He has also rushed for 211 yards.

As a team, they have surpassed 30 points six times. Their defense has been statistically in the middle of the pack in the NFL, but they have clamped down when needed.

The three games after the trip to Indianapolis will define their season. They host Kansas City — their likeliest rival to reach Super Bowl LIX — then play San Francisco, the Rams, and the Lions. They finish the schedule with two games in three weeks against New England bracketing a matchup with the Jets.

Colts’ QB Change Still a Work in Progress

After the Anthony Richardson quarterback controversy in which the second-year starter asked to be taken out of the game against Houston following a long run, head coach Shane Steichen replaced Richardson with veteran Joe Flacco. Flacco is expected to remain the starter for the rest of the season.

In Week 9 against Minnesota, Flacco played serviceably completing 16 of 27 passes for 179 yards and one interception. Indianapolis could not muster an offense against the Vikings and lost 21-13.

The Colts’ 4-5 record has them on the periphery of a playoff spot, but some of that might be due to good fortune and scheduling. After playing Buffalo, six of their seven remaining games are against weaker opponents.

Bills vs Colts Prediction: Buffalo Will Keep Its Streak Going

The Bills are one of the best teams in the league at takeaways with a +11, third in the NFL. Although the Colts are 12th in the league defensively for points allowed, they are near the bottom in rush and pass defense.

It is difficult to see Indianapolis scoring enough to keep the game competitive, nor will they hold Buffalo’s offense down. The Bills should win by more than 4 points and the teams will combine to go beyond 47 points.
