Buffalo is not an afterthought despite the firestorm surrounding the Jets. The Bills won their first three games with point totals of 34, 31, and 47 points. They were subsequently blown out by the Ravens and then lost 23-20 to the Texans. They are not without problems of their own. Along with the two straight losses, QB Josh Allen hit his head on the turf in the loss to Houston and speculation suggested he suffered a concussion.
Regardless, he returned to the game without entering the concussion protocol. He was also dealing with an injury to his left hand. Featured back James Cook has a toe injury. Top receiver Khalil Shakir missed the Houston game and is not practicing with an ankle injury. Buffalo will need to find a way to overcome all of these injuries to win this game.
