Eastern Conference Finals Series So Far
The Miami Heat have defied all expectations this season and they now stand on the brink of an unlikely appearance in the NBA Finals. Miami lead the series 3-1 going into game five, with the most recent win coming on Wednesday evening. The Heat led from the opening quarter in that game, and led at the break 50-44. The Celtics started to cut away at the difference in the third quarter, but the Heat responded excellently in the final quarter. The Heat’s performance ensured that they were deserving of the 112-109 victory.
Tyler Herro was the star of the evening for the Heat, as he scored an amazing 37 points. His total was the highest to be recorded by a rookie for the Heat in a playoff game since Dwayne Wade. Herro added six rebounds and three assists on a breakthrough game for the 20-year-old. Jimmy Butler continued his excellent series with another 24 rebounds. Bam Adebayo scored a double-double, as he had 20 points and 12 rebounds. Goran Dragic was once again brilliant, as he scored 22 points.
The Celtics were led in game four by Jayson Tatum, who scored 28 points. Meanwhile, Jaylen Brown and Kemba Walker scored 21 and 20 points respectively. There were also double digit points tallies for Marcus Smart and Gordon Hayward. However, the Celtics were left disappointed with the result, and they must win game five to keep their hopes alive in the NBA this season.
Game Four Stats
The Heat posted poorer numbers than the Celtics from the field and beyond the arc. Although the sheer number of free throws that they sank ensured that the lead was comfortable. Miami scored on just 42.9% of their field efforts, while the Celtics scored on 47.6% of theirs. Meanwhile, the Heat scored on ten from 37 efforts from beyond the arc. The Celtics sank 14 of their efforts from beyond the arc, as they finished with 35% accuracy.
Miami were efficient from the free throw line as they scored on 24 from 27. Meanwhile, Boston posted 17 of their 21 efforts. Heat dominated the steals, as they stole possession on nine occasions compared to the three that the Celtics managed.

This is a huge opportunity for the Heat to secure their passage through to the finals, where they could come up against ex-Heat star LeBron James. However, we expect this series to go to a game six, which means the Celtics will claim a second win of the series.
