Fifth round action in the FA Cup is staged this week in England. One of the more interesting ties will take place at the Vitality Stadium, as Bournemouth welcome Championship high-flyers Leicester City. Both sides will be hoping to continue their journey in the domestic cup competition this week.
Before Betting On Bournemouth vs Leicester
This tie between Bournemouth and Leicester looks an extremely interesting one on paper, as both will have questions to answer. Leicester’s title push in the second tier has hit a poor run of form, with their most recent defeat being suffered last Friday against Leeds. Meanwhile, Bournemouth are without a win in their last five in the Premier League.
This will be the first time that these two sides have clashed in the FA Cup. However, the Cherries have picked up victories in each of their last three encounters against the Foxes, with all wins coming in the Premier League. That is more victories than they had recorded in their previous 13 meetings against their East Midlands rivals.
Leicester have a poor record against Premier League opposition in the FA Cup when they have been playing outside of the top division, as they have recorded just a single win from their last seven. Over that period, they have suffered four defeats, with two matches ending in draws.
The Cherries will be looking to make some history in midweek, as they have only reached the last eight stage of the FA Cup on two previous occasions. This will be their first match at this stage of the competition as a top-flight side since losing 2-0 against Everton in the 2015-16 season.
Bournemouth vs Leicester Offshore Odds & Pick
Leicester have a fine record in the FA Cup, after scoring in all but one of their 22 matches in the competition. We could see them having an excellent chance of progressing through to the next round of the competition this week.
