Liverpool return to action in the Premier League this weekend, as they bid to extend their advantage at the top of the standings. The Reds come into the round with a two-point advantage over Man City, and they could end the weekend with a five-point lead if they are able to overcome Bournemouth.

Before Betting On Bournemouth vs Liverpool

There appears to be an interesting title race in the Premier League taking shape this term, with Liverpool throwing down the challenging to Man City at this stage of the season. The Reds come into the upcoming weekend with a two-point advantage at the summit after winning each of their last two. Meanwhile, they have suffered just a single defeat in their 20 league outings this term.

Bournemouth will present an interesting challenge to the league leaders this weekend, as the Cherries have won four of their last five matches. That run of form has easily seen the club move clear of the relegation places in the standings, and a victory over Liverpool on Sunday could see them move nearer to the top half of the standings.

However, the Cherries don’t have the best record against Liverpool in the league after losing eight of their last nine. But, the one positive result that they have picked up did come in this exact fixture last term after recording a 1-0 success against the Reds at the Vitality. However, Liverpool have already recorded a win at Bournemouth this term when landing a 2-1 success in the EFL Cup earlier in the campaign.

But, Bournemouth have been excellent in home matches in recent weeks, claiming three wins from their last four at the Vitality. Meanwhile, the Cherries have taken a staggering 19 points from their last eight matches in the league, which is more than any other side in the competition.
