The inaugural season of the UFL has finally reached its climax. The championship game will take place between the San Antonio Brahmas (8-3) and the Birminingham Stallions (10-1). The Brahmas were the only team to beat the Stallions this season, but did so on their home field. This game will be played at a neutral site.

San Antonio upset the Battlehawks in the XFL conference’s playoff game, sending them to the title game against Birmingham. The Brahmas heated up down the stretch of the season, especially on defense. An 18-9 victory over the Stallions in Week 9 proved they have the ability to win this game, but will certainly face a far more motivated opponent this time around. The consistency of QB Chase Garbers will play a major role in San Antonio’s ability to pull off another upset and win the UFL title.
The Stallions were the best of the USFL for the third straight season. Prior to the merger with the XFL, they won the USFL championship in both 2022 and 2023. Now merged into a larger league, the USFL conference was once again won by the Stallions. Having cemented themselves as a spring football powerhouse, Birmingham will aim to claim a league title once again. They went 10-0 against the 8 eliminated teams, but 0-1 against the Brahmas, creating the opportunity for revenge in the title game.

The first-ever UFL Championship Game is set up to be a fantastic matchup between the two best teams in the league. The Stallions dominated all season en route to a 10-1 record, but had their sole defeat against the Brahmas. Having already clinched a playoff spot at that point, Birmingham had much less to play for than San Antonio. This time around, expect the Stallions to come out swinging with full motivation and the benefit of a neutral location. Birmingham is likely on their way to a third straight title.
