The MLB season has entered its second month of play. This matchup features an epic clash between the 20-9 Atlanta Braves and the 20-13 Los Angeles Dodgers. Both of these teams lead their respective divisions, and are the current frontrunners to make the World Series out of the NL.
Before Betting on Braves vs Dodgers
The Braves are having another excellent season thanks to a young core and loaded farm system. Aiming to bounce back from last season’s elimination in the NLDS, Atlanta will need consistent production from the offense. They currently hold the MLB’s 5th-best offense and 3rd-best defense.
Atlanta lost two out of three games in Seattle in the most recent series, but has gone 11-4 over the past 15 games. The Braves will continue to rely on the offense of 2B Ozzie Albies and DH Marcell Ozuna. Albies ranks 8th in the National League in batting average, hitting .330 on the season so far.
Los Angeles boasts some incredible sluggers of their own. Mookie Betts (.377), Will Smith (.355), and Shohei Ohtani (.336) rank 1st, 2nd, and 6th in the NL in batting average, respectively. While the Dodgers have been sensational on offense, the pitching rotation is not quite as strong as years past.
Aside from Clayton Kershaw (2.36 ERA), Los Angeles has been inconsistent on the pitching front, currently ranking just outside the top-10 in runs allowed. This series against the Braves will be a crucial test for the starting rotation and bullpen to prove if they have postseason viability.
Braves vs Dodgers Offshore Odds
Atlanta holds the best record in all of Major League Baseball after the first month and has the best odds to win the World Series of any team. They’ll put their ability to the test in what should be an exciting and challenging road series against the Dodgers. Los Angeles has won 8 of their last 10 games and is likely to keep their momentum going against the Braves. The Dodgers should take two out of three in this weekend series.
