Brazil and Serbia close the opening round of the World Cup in Qatar. Their matchup will be the last this Thursday night and a delight for all of us.

Before Betting on Brazil vs. Serbia

The Selecao comes to this championship as the top favorite to win it. Though, since 2002, we haven’t seen Brazil performing well at the World Cups, and they didn’t present some top football, which puts a lot of pressure on Tite’s boys.

For the moment, they have 15 straight games without a defeat, with the previous one coming at the Copa America last year once Argentina beat them in Rio. Selecao won the previous seven games, netting four or more goals in the majority of these contests.

On the other side, Serbia had a solid run in the qualifiers, beating Portugal 1-2 in the game that decided who goes to Qatar directly and who goes to the playoffs. This team has a very potent attack, with Dusan Vlahovic and Aleksandar Mitrovic leading the way.

Right now, they are without a win for six games in a row, beating teams like Norway, Sweden and Slovenia along the way. In only one event during this stretch, Serbia couldn’t score twice.

Brazil is the favorite according to all the offshore betting odds, yet we would go with both teams netting in this one because of a massive offensive potential on both ends.
