Before Betting on Brewers vs Giants July 14
Offshore odds are expecting a pitching duel when the Milwaukee Brewers start a weekend series with the San Francisco Giants on Thursday night. Milwaukee sends reigning Cy Young award winner Corbin Burnes (7-4, 2.20 ERA) to the mound against Carlos Rodon (8-5, 2.70 ERA) in a game that has a run total of just 6 at some books.
Burnes continued to dominate in his last start, giving up just 3 hits and 0 ER over 7.0 IP with 10 K’s vs. the Cubs, although Chicago ended up pulling out a 2-1 victory. The right-hander has now held opponents to 1 ER or less in three of his last four starts, and is averaging 8.5 SOs over that span.
Rodon bounced back from one of his worst starts of the season where he allowed 4ER across 5.0 IP in an 8-3 loss to the Diamondbacks on the 4th of July. Rodon went out and pitched a complete game last Saturday, striking out 12 Padres batters in a 3-1 win. Eliminating the outing against Arizona, Rodon has a 1.20 ERA in his last 7 starts.

Milwaukee heads to the West Coast sporting an 8-2 mark over their last 10 road games. The Brewers have also won four of their last five at Oracle Park and have some solid value with Burnes on the mound.
Both teams are 5-6 in July though so neither is playing their best baseball right now. With this being the last series before the all-star break players could be looking ahead to time off and it really looks like a coin flip game betting on the sides. At the very least this one should be low scoring.
