Seattle (8-8) just completed a weekend sweep of the atrocious road team Colorado for their fourth win in a row, yet still find themselves as home underdogs on Monday night as their series with the Brewers gets underway. Milwaukee has had a solid 11-5 start to the year that has them atop the NL Central, but they’re also playing the 8th game of a West Coast road trip and fatigue might start to catch up to them.
Before Betting on Brewers vs Mariners
The major reason Milwaukee is a road favorite on Monday night even though the Mariners are starting to put some momentum together is because Corbin Burnes (1-1, 5.19 ERA). Burnes still has some intimidation to his name as the former NL Cy Young winner, but he had some early season struggles with 10 ER allowed over his first two starts of the year. Burnes looked dialed in last time out though, going 8.0 IP giving up just 3 hits and 0 ER in a win over Arizona.
Milwaukee took three of four in San Diego their last series, so both teams had a good weekend as the Mariners completed a sweep of the Rockies with a 1-0 victory on Sunday. Colorado is just 2-7 on the road, so the bigger story would have been if Seattle would have lost any of those games, especially considering they were big favorites in each.
Mariners starter Chris Flexen (0-2, 8.74 ERA) may not get a ton of run support on Monday night as his offense faces Burnes, and that’s not ideal considering Flexen is coming off an 8ER outing to the Cubs at Wrigley Field last Tuesday. The wind was blowing out and that was a hitter’s night, so instead we’ll focus on Flexen allowing just 3ER over 9.0 IP in his first two appearances of the season.

Brewers vs Mariners Prediction & Pick
This price on the Brewers looks like a gift as Burnes looks like he’s set to enter into Cy Young mode. The Mariners are coming off a sweep of the Rockies, but that was expected and may give this team some false confidence.
