The second FA Cup semi-final this weekend will take place on Sunday afternoon. It will be the sixth time that Brighton and Man united have met in the FA Cup, with the Seagulls still searching for a first victory over their illustrious rivals in the competition.

Before Betting On Brighton vs Man United

One of the most exciting matches in the world of soccer this weekend will take place in the FA Cup on Sunday. It has already been a sensational season for Brighton, as they look set to finish in their highest ever position in the Premier League standings. However, they could yet end the campaign with a major piece of silverware.

The Seagulls have been excellent on their run to this stage of the competition, as they have already eliminated Liverpool and Stoke City in testing looking fixtures. In the previous round, they eased to a 5-0 home success against Grimsby Town. This is just the third time in their history in reaching this stage of the competition, most recently achieving the feat in 2019 before losing to Manchester City. But, Brighton has won each of their previous two matches against United in all competitions.

Erik ten Hag’s Man United remains in the hunt for three major pieces of silverware this season. United has progressed through the FA Cup in strong fashion this season, with all their previous ties ending in 3-1 wins at Old Trafford. The most recent of those was a success over Fulham in the quarterfinals of the competition.

United has won each of their last five meetings against Brighton in the FA Cup, with their most recent win coming in the quarterfinals of the 2017-18 season. However, the Red Devils have exited the competition in three of their last five appearances.

This will be an exciting match at Wembley on Sunday. United will be looking to tie the record for most appearances in the FA Cup final. However, we would be happy to take a chance on Brighton reaching their first since 1983, as they look well-positioned to take advantage of United’s defensive issues.
