One of the most interesting FA Cup replays this week will take place at Ashton Gate, as Bristol City look to cause a major cup upset when they host West Ham United. The Hammers will be heavily favored to secure a place in the fourth round despite playing on the road.

Before Betting On Bristol City vs West Ham

One of the biggest shocks in the third round of the FA Cup came at the London Stadium, as West Ham could only play out a draw against Bristol City. The Hammers were made to pay for their missed opportunities, as the Championship visitors levelled the scores in the second period of the showdown.

However, Bristol don’t have the best record against the Hammers, as they are winless in their last 12 meetings against West Ham. Their most recent success against their illustrious rivals was secured away from home in February 1978. Since that win, West Ham have won six and have played out six draws against the Robins.

West Ham also have a strong record on the road against Bristol, having gone unbeaten in their last six visits to Ashton Gate. Their most recent trip ended in a 1-0 victory in the fourth round of the FA Cup in 2014-15. Bristol also have a poor record against Premier League opposition in the competition, having progressed just once from their last 15 ties against top-flight rivals.

West Ham have also made a habit of reaching at least the fourth round of the competition, having achieved the feat in each of the last six seasons. Jarrod Bowen could be the player to watch this week, as he has scored four in six in the FA Cup. Meanwhile, he has scored 14 goals across all competitions so far this term.
