The Broncos have two goals to check off on Christmas afternoon against the Rams – 1) their second winning streak of the season and 2) their first road victory of the year. After winning back-to-back games against Houston and San Francisco in week 2 and 3, Denver (4-10) was 1-9 before last week’s 24-15 win over Arizona. The Cardinals are bad, but so are the 4-10 Rams who are also on a short week after their 24-12 loss in Green Bay on Monday night.
Before Betting on Broncos vs Rams
Normally a 4-10 team would benefit from losing late in the year to improve their draft stock, but neither Denver or the Rams have a first round pick (which is right now projected at #3 and #4) because of the Russell Wilson and Matthew Stafford trades respectively. L.A. wouldn’t redo their trade for the Detroit QB because he led them to a Super Bowl win last year, but the ROI hasn’t been great for Wilson’s acquisition from Seattle.
What’s been frustrating for Denver this year is that they’ve had the defense to compete, ranking 3rd in the NFL allowing just 309 total yards and 18.1 ppg. The Broncos offense has only scored 15.6 ppg though, fewest in the league. Wilson is back from a concussion for the Rams game, and he played well in his last outing throwing for 247 yards and 3 TDs in a 34-28 loss to the Chiefs.
While both Denver and L.A. are 4-10, the Rams season is much less disappointing mostly because they’re coming off a Super Bowl win a season ago and have been hit by a rash of injuries this year. The Rams started 12 different offensive line combinations in their first 12 games, and had to turn to Baker Mayfield at QB in week 14 even after he was with the team for just 2 days after being waived by Carolina.

Broncos vs Rams Prediction & Pick
Mayfield was 12/21 for 111 yards on Monday, and the Broncos have a much better defense than Green Bay. Wilson played good for Denver against the Chiefs, and this one looks like it’s going the Broncos’ way.
