Cleveland is the darlings of the NFL following last week’s 19-17 upset of previously undefeated San Francisco, but is that affecting the line in the week 7 Browns vs Colts matchup? Kevin Stefanski’s squad is a -3.5 road favorite at Lucas Oil Stadium on Sunday but Indianapolis is a team that seems like it could beat – or lose to – any team in the NFL on any given week.

Before Betting on Browns vs Colts Week 7

The Browns vs Colts offshore betting total is 41, but it’s really hard to imagine either of these offenses putting up their share of that number. Cleveland could be getting starting QB Deshaun Watson (probable – shoulder) back but how healthy is he really? Colts starting QB Gardner Minshew threw 3 INTs last week in a 37-20 loss to Jacksonville so his confidence isn’t exactly at its peak.

Besides anemic offenses, another reason this game may struggle to see points scored is because of the Cleveland defense. NFL pundits are calling the Browns defensive unit elite after they held the high powered 49ers to just 215 total yards last week while harassing Brock Purdy into his worst game as a pro (12/27, 125 yards, 1/1). With Minshew playing so bad last week, Cleveland is licking their chops to get after it again and start building on that impressive defensive reputation.

Browns vs Colts Week 7 Prediction & Pick

Cleveland is in a letdown spot after the huge upset of San Francisco last week, but getting Watson back and with that defense playing as good as it has lately the side lean would go towards the Browns here. That being said, this feels like a field goal game so the -3.5 point spread is just a bit too high. This also feels like a low scoring affair as well though.
