Browns vs Commanders Head-to-Head Stats

The Browns are 35-12-1 all-time against the Commanders.

Watson Needs Help

Cleveland’s offense can’t seem to stay consistent for a full 60 minutes. They lost to the Raiders 20-16 after having an early ten-point lead and then being shut out in the second and third quarters. It was a fairly even game for the Browns and definitely a winnable one. If the offense had performed decently for just one more quarter, the team would have had more confidence.

This Browns could use some help in the running game, but Nick Chubb is still out with an injury. Quarterback Deshaun Watson is playing decently, but he isn’t getting much support from his receiving corps. The offense ranks last in yards per play.

Fortunately, the defense has kept them in three of the four games and ranks ninth in yards per play allowed. With Washington’s offense performing well, their defense will be key to keeping the game close.

Commanders Scoring With Ease

The Commanders are 3-1 and sitting first in the NFC East. They rank second in points scored in the NFC, and have found unprecedented success under rookie QB Jayden Daniels.

Their only loss came in Week 1 against another 3-1 team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Since then, they have scored more points each week, and the defense is gradually tightening up.

While those three wins were against struggling teams, Washington still took care of business, with Jayden Daniels making things look easy. Daniels is completing a high percentage of his passes, and the running game and WRs are also contributing. The Commanders have scored in every quarter this season, except one.

Browns vs Commanders Prediction

Both of these teams have faced similar schedules and played against mostly teams under .500. The Browns posted close losses, while the Commanders scored early and often, never looking back. Cleveland’s defense will keep things interesting, and their offense should perform a bit better, but Washington’s offensive depth and confidence will be tough to stop overall. We like the Commanders to win this one at home.
