Cleveland Favored on the Road

The Browns (2-1) are a blown 13-point lead with less than 2 minutes left against the Jets from a 3-0 start to the season. Sure they needed a long late field goal to beat Carolina 26-24 in week one but Cleveland has something cooking for sure this season. That’s why Cleveland is a road favorite in the Browns Falcons week 4 matchup.

Don’t sleep on this Atlanta team despite their 1-2 start. They finally found their winning ways last week in a 27-23 win over the Seahawks, but were very close with their two losses being a 27-26 defeat to the Saints and a 31-27 defeat at the Rams.

Both of these teams can run the football. Cleveland has the #1 rushing attack in the NFL (190.7) behind 341 yards from Nick Chubb and another 151 out of Kareem Hunt. Atlanta’s ground game is less conventional with former WR Cordarelle Patterson getting a bulk of the carries, but he’s coming off 141 yards on the ground vs. the Seahawks and went for 120 in the season opener. Patterson is dealing with a sore knee and although he’s reportedly going to ‘give it a go’ there’s not much behind him with QB Marcus Mariota being the team’s second leading rusher with 92 yards.

Does Atlanta have the air attack to stay in this game if Patterson cannot take a full workload? They definitely have the talent as rookie Drake London looks like an instant star with TDs in each of the last two weeks while TE Kyle Pitts is a matchup nightmare.

Browns Falcons Week 4 Prediction

It can be hard to get a win on the road in the NFL, but Cleveland has a big advantage having such an impressive running game. The Falcons might be the play here if Patterson was healthy because he’s a game-changing weapon, but can his sore knee hold up on Sunday? The Browns have a little better defense which gives them the edge in this spot.
