The Milwaukee Bucks subsequently win and lose in the past five games, showing oscillations. Milwaukee lost the past two road events, one in Houston, 97-92, and the other in Memphis, 142-101. The latter was a hard kick in the teeth, yet the Bucks bounced back by beating the Jazz, 123-97.
Mike Budenholzer’s unit was strong in the fourth period, outscoring the rivals 31-14, with Bobby Portis leading the way scoring 22 points and grabbing 14 boards. Jrue Holiday had 21, and Brook Lopez 18. Giannis didn’t play, yet he will tonight.
The Pelicans lost three in a row, all on the road, twice in Salt Lake, 121-100 and 132-129 OT. The most recent was in Phoenix, where the Suns beat Zion and the guys 118-114. New Orleans’ performances at home and on the road are completely different. The Pelicans have eight triumphs down in Louisiana and are 12-3 at Smoothie King Center.
Zion had 30 points in Phoenix, 12-for-15 from the field, and nine assists too. CJ McCollum scored 27 with eight assists, but there weren’t any other players to step up and push the Pels. The next best scorer was Jonas Valanciunas, with 12 buckets.
