Gilbert Burns and Jorge Masvidal will fight in the co-main event of UFC 287.
Before Betting on Burns vs. Masvidal
Gilbert Burns defeated Neil Magny in his last octagon appearance. This was a good bounceback following the loss against Khamzat Chimaev and his return to the welterweight division’s elite. Durinho was very confident at the UFC 283, beating the rival in four minutes.
The Brazilian is among the best jiu-jitsu fighters in the UFC, and his grappling is extremely efficient. But apart from that, Durinho is an extremely confident boxer who knows how to mix his hits and attacks. Burns has six wins after a knockout, six followings a decision and nine by forcing a submission.
Jorge Masvidal had a good run a few years ago, beating some big names like Till, Cerrone, and Nate Diaz. That, and his show-making appearance in the octagon, propelled Gamebread to the elite of the UFC and one of the most popular faces. After that came title shots, and two losses against Kamaru, followed by another defeat versus Colby.
Masvidal is a brawler who likes to take the battle in the middle of the octagon and make the contest an old-fashioned fistfight. Masvidal’s chin is one of the toughest in the UFC, and he still eats punches pretty easily.

Burns is the choice, and the reason for that is his versatility and his physical shape. This guy went toe to toe with Khamzat and beat Magny without even sweating. Masvidal was good against Colby, but he didn’t show anything special.
