Formula 1 action resumes this weekend, as the Canadian Grand Prix takes place in Montreal. Red Bull’s dominance continued at the Spanish Grand Prix, as Max Verstappen extended his championship lead over teammate Sergio Perez. But, can any team challenge the reigning Constructors’ champions this weekend?
Before Betting On Canadian Grand Prix
The Canadian Grand Prix has been a regular stop on the Formula 1 calendar since it was introduced in 1967. It has helped create some of the most dramatic moments in the history of the sport, with the 2005 edition of the race being the most watched motor race in history, and the third most watched sporting event in that specific year.
The race made its long-awaited return to the schedule last year after the Canadian Grand Prix was canceled in both 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Max Verstappen landed a famous win, as he finished just under a second clear of Carlos Sainz, and seven seconds ahead of Lewis Hamilton.
Hamilton is the joint-most successful driver in the race, as he has landed seven victories alongside Michael Schumacher. Ferrari is the most successful constructor in the history of the race, with their most recent victory coming back in 2018. However, both Mercedes and Ferrari have a challenge on their hands to catch Red Bull.
The latter has endured a very slow start to the new season, as they have achieved just one podium finish and currently sit fourth in the Constructors’ standings. However, there were signs of a recovery from Mercedes in Barcelona, as the team enjoyed a first double podium of the campaign. Hamilton finished second for the second time this season in Spain, and the upgrades brought in at Monaco appear to be taking them closer to the pace.
But, Red Bull has won each of the opening seven races this season, with Verstappen claiming victories on five occasions. The Dutchman comes into this weekend after winning each of the previous three races, and they will once again be the team to beat in Montreal this weekend.

It should be an excellent weekend of F1 action this coming weekend. However, Red Bull have looked strong over the opening months of the season, and it appears difficult to bet against their winning run being maintained. Therefore, we expect Verstappen to land victory.
