Donovan Mitchell is back in Salt Lake, this time wearing the Cleveland Cavaliers’ jersey, attacking his former team, the Utah Jazz.
Before Betting on the Cavaliers vs. Jazz
Cleveland Cavaliers won four of the previous five games. This is going to be the third road game in a row for JB Bickerstaff’s crew. They are 1-1 so far, losing in Denver 121-108 (without Mitchell) and then beating the Phoenix Suns at the Footprint Center, 112-98.
Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland scored 22 points in that one. Four more players in Cleveland had double-digit points, Evan Mobley and Isaac Okoro 14; Caris LeVert and Jarrett Allen added 13, with the note that Allen had 12 boards, recording a double-double.
Utah is in problems. They lost seven of the past eight events, with the only win happening in Houston against the Rockets. The last three games were on the road; win in Houston, 131-114, and losses in Chicago to the Bulls, 126-118, and in Memphis against the Grizzlies, 123-118.
The Jazzers can’t gain consistency in their game, especially on the defensive side. We saw them allowing 43 points in the second quarter, and from that moment on, they were behind and couldn’t get back into the game. Markkanen had 21 points, Olynyk 19, and Jordan Clarkson 17, but was ejected in the third period.

The over/under line is set at 227 points, and we are picking over in this case because of the offensive potential on both ends, and a bit looser defense, especially Utah’s. Pinnacle offers 1.91 for this pick.
