The journey for two sides in the Champions League comes to an end in Group E on Wednesday, as Celtic and Feyenoord will both exit the competition following matchday six. However, both clubs will be looking to end their campaigns on a high point by claiming maximum points this week.

Before Betting On Celtic vs Feyenoord

It has been a disappointing Champions League campaign for both Celtic and Feyenoord, as their dreams of reaching the knockout stage have already come to an end. The Dutch side will at least have European soccer to look forward to in the New Year, as they will drop into the Europa League after picking up two wins from their five matches in the group stage.

However, they come into this fixture having suffered defeats in each of their last two matches. Celtic’s disappointing European campaign means that they will exit the competition at this stage once again. The Scottish side have failed to win in five matches this term, and they have picked up just one point from their fixtures in Group E.

However, it will be a concern that the Scottish side have suffered defeats in each of their last two matches against Feyenoord. The most recent clash between the sides was on matchday one, with the Dutch side landing a 2-0 success. The Dutch side also boasts an excellent record against Scottish opposition, as they have won seven of their last eleven.

But, it should be acknowledged that they are without a win in their previous three visits to Scotland. Celtic’s record in the Champions League over the last few seasons is very weak, as they are winless in their last 12 home matches in the competition.

But, this could be a golden opportunity for the SPL side to land victory, as Feyenoord have suffered defeats in their last eight Champions League away matches.
