Boston plays on the back-to-back Tuesday night but they still might have the travel advantage, not even having to move their bags out of the visitors locker room following a 113-93 loss to the Clippers on Monday night at Crypto.com Arena. The Lakers meanwhile had Monday off, but are back home for the first time this month following a 3-3 trip East of the Mississippi. The offshore sportsbooks still like Boston here.

The Celtics and Lakers have had very similar trips lately, just on different coasts. L.A. went a decent 3-3 road trip which was kicked off by a 133-129 win in Milwaukee while Boston is wrapping up their six game road trip on Tuesday night. Things started off well for the Celtics with wins in Brooklyn, Toronto, and Phoenix, but things have fallen off a bit with losses to Golden State (123-107) and the 20-point defeat to the Clippers.
Boston looks a bit fatigued losing by an average of 18 points the last two games, so maybe they’re ready to get this road trip over with. Celtics vs Lakers is always a great rivalry though, so we’ll see what the likes of Jayson Tatum has left in the tank after playing 36 minutes vs the Clippers while Jaylen Brown and Malcolm Brogdon also logged 30+.
It was a nice .500 road trip that just wrapped up for the Lakers but the degree of difficulty wasn’t that great either. Aside from the win over the Bucks, L.A. also beat Detroit and Washington (a combined 22 games under .500) and had double digit losses at Cleveland, Toronto, and Philadelphia.

Most Lakers fans seemed resigned to the fate that since Boston has looked horrible in consecutive losses that they somehow turn things around in Tuesday night’s rivalry game. While that very well could happen, the C’s are also tired from a long road trip and playing on the back-to-back while LeBron James and Anthony Davis both just went for 34+ on Sunday for the Lakers.
