Super Bowl LVII is Sunday, February 12th in Glendale, Arizona and it looks like a good one on paper with the #1 seed Kansas City Chiefs (16-3) meeting the #1 seed Philadelphia Eagles (16-3). Somewhat surprisingly the Chiefs are +1.5 underdogs at the offshore sportsbooks, but here are some reasons why they can cover that number.
Before Betting on Chiefs Super Bowl LVII
One of the big reasons for liking Kansas City on Sunday is just their experience, playing in the Super Bowl for the third time in the last four seasons. KC coach Andy Reid also made a Super Bowl when he was with the Eagles in 2004 so this is a walk in the park for him. This is the biggest game of the season watched by nearly 100 million people in the United States last year, and sometimes that pressure gets to players and coaches who have never been here before.
The other main reason to like the Chiefs +1.5 is because of Patrick Mahomes, who threw for 5,250 yards and 41 TDs in the regular season. Mahomes injured his ankle in the divisional round against the Jaguars, but still had 326 yards and 2 TDs in the win over Cincinnati in the AFC Championship Game. He’s now had an extra week to rest that ankle and should be near full strength for the Super Bowl.
The Chiefs defense brought the heat, sacking Joe Burrow five times in the AFC Championship Game. The Eagles have two great WRs, but their ability is negated a bit if Jalen Hurts has to scramble. The Eagles had a top five rush offense as well this season, but Kansas City was actually strong in the ground game ranking in the top 10 at just 107.5 ypg allowed.

The Super Bowl is the most heavily bet game of the season, so it makes you wonder if the line moving towards the Eagles is just because the common fan outside of Kansas City is sick of seeing the Chiefs in the final game?
