Trap Seems to Be Laid
In a game that seems to have trap written all over it the 2-0 Kansas City Chiefs are less than a TD favorite against the winless Indianapolis Colts (0-1-1). Sure this is a road game for K.C., but they went into Arizona in week one and came away with a 44-21 victory. How is a Colts offense that was blanked 24-0 in Jacksonville last week supposed to keep up with Patrick Mahomes and company?
The Chiefs did have their share of struggles last week in a 27-24 win over the Chargers, but that’s a really good Los Angeles team that has a heavy pass rush from Khalil Mack and Joey Bosa. Indianapolis just allowed Jacksonville’s 2nd year QB Trevor Lawrence to hit 25/30 passes for 235 yards and 2 TDs, so Mahomes has to be licking his chops for the Chiefs Colts week 3 matchup.
Kansas City did allow 334 yards and 3 TDs to Chargers QB Justin Herbert last week, but the LAC offense and the Indy offense are night and day right now. The Colts had to battle back just for a 20-20 tie in week one as they went into the 4th quarter down 20-3.
Matt Ryan finished 16/30 for 195 yards with 3 INTs against Jacksonville last week. Why is Kansas City not a -9.5 or higher favorite here?

Chiefs Colts Week 3 Prediction
This looks like a slam dunk on the Chiefs who are averaging 35.5 ppg in their 2-0 start. Of course any seasoned bettor knows that games that look too good to be true usually are. The public has to be hammering Kansas City but instead the line has actually moved away from them a bit at Pinnacle and MyBookie. This game is almost certainly a trap, so a contrarian play on the Colts plus the points or a stay away would be the way to go.
